DTS-1308P Case Study
These photos show a DTS-1308P deployable PBX telephone system (our smallest) installed in a school library for a large three day community event operations center. The center served police, fire, Amatuer Radio communications, EMS, and event staff. They had previously attempted to use hand-held cell phones, but the steel-sided building effectively blocked all signals.
The photos show the PBX case on end under the table to the right. Cords to the eight phones ran around the perimeter of the room behind the tables. Three outside lines were routed from the telephone room in the basement to a nearby wall jack. In-room set-up time was only ten minutes. Routing the outside lines to the room took less than an hour.
